Finally!

And here I thought you had all but vanished! Then I take a gander and find this now sitting around.

This is a wonderful remix. VERY wonderful. And it's actually a remix, not just a cover! Can't tell you how many times I see "THIS IS A REMIX" and it's a bloody cover!

The tone is rather upbeat and happy, as the original track is, with a hint of a "go for it!" vibe. I find myself unable to control myself as my head bobs to the beat, feeling a natural, relaxing groove to it. It's the kind of song I'd want to listen to while chilling or perhaps writing. That in itself makes it awesome. Your choice of instrumentation and the general styling make it better.

That and this is my favorite Rainbow Road track. Huzzah!

I know! It's been so long since I've had a complete piece to show you guys!
And I'm glad you really enjoyed it ^_^
Thanks for all your support.

This is...

This is quite amazing. Simple as that. It has a very serene, much like the original Hymn of Faith did. This is entirely your voice, too? That's... insane. I mean, sure, there might've been some computer modifying, but still! I wish I knew someone who could do these sort of vocals.

I also took a look at some of your other pieces. There's a lot of awesomeness strung throughout your submissions. Do you happen to have any original pieces with you singing? I'd love to hear you singing in your own work. :)

VGSongbird responds:

I'm working on some Originals. I just get overly finicky about them and usually end up tossing them before they get anywhere near being finished.
I wish I knew how to edit my vocals! lolz, I'm still not all that MIDI savey. The only thing I added was the reverb.

And thanks for the support! I hope to get more feedback from you in the future! ^_^

Very nicely done.

I remember hearing this song when you were first making it to put over at Overclocked Remixes. Then I lost the file, and couldn't get it again. It's good that you've now got a place for it here on Newgrounds.

As I'm sure I said at OCR, this song is very well done. It's a solid remix, one that I played while sleeping many times in the past, although something sounds different from this version and the version you had on OCR. Oh well.

My only issue with this remix was, in fact, the use of thunder. I know, the sample was of real thunder, it's the fact that you used a thunder effect altogether. The rain effect isn't noticed as much as when the thunder comes crashing in.

If this isn't the version you had tried submitting to OCR, could you send me that version? It's been so long, I can't tell anymore, haha.

TenchuX responds:

This is almost the same as the OCR one, the only difference is the instruments used. The one that I sent into OCR had a diff piano, harp, guitar and strings....so basically all different but the little drum. This one has sounds with much better quality. I also think the volume of the instruments was different, the piano was probably louder in the OCR one. I probably have the old OCR one somewhere, ive got like 10 billion versions of every song I make because I always pump songs I make into MP3's multiple times when its being made. I used thunder because I thought it gave a little variation, and the big blast before the vocal part sounded neat to me by leading into it.

I'm a writer from the sunny beaches of Canada, trying to give people something worth getting into.
